Horseradish

$5.50
sold out

This is a fantastic plant for the permaculture garden. It is much like comfrey in the way that it grows, so do plant it somewhere you would like it for life. It dies back in winter but regrows every spring.

You can use the leaves in salads during the growing season, and once it dies you can harvest some of the roots. We like to use it in our fire cider to help boost the immune system or as an accompaniment to steak.

It can grow to 120cm tall and 50cm wide.

Plant it in full sun.

Harvest roots in March to April.

Plant sent as root cutting
